The 2009 PARTS UNLIMITED CAROLINA ULTRA Series has $539,350.00 in factory contingency up for
grabs for the riders. The Ultra Series is one of the few motocross series in America that is still paying factory contingency.
YAMAHA leads the way posting $173,000.00, KAWASAKI has posted $109,750.00, HUSQVARNA posted $119,500.00, SUZUKI posted $93,200.00, HONDA posted $41,100.00, and POLINI posted $2,800.00. These amounts are posted on the manufacturers web sites.
This contingency money rewards the riders for their performance and gives them help in paying for maintenance on their bikes as well as the costs of racing. With the tough economic conditions
we are suffering through now, this contingency money is a breath of fresh air for the riders who earn a portion of it.
The series gets underway February 28/March 1 at IRON CITY Motorsports Park in Blacksburg, SC. Saturday is a practice day 9:30am til 3:30pm then early signup til 5:30. Sunday practice
starts at 8:00am with racing to get started at 9:30.
