If you have not heard the politicians in Washington recently passed a bill that reduces the amount of lead in childrens toys. I am all for that, however, they included any offroad vehicle or ATV that is intended for anyone under the age of 12. I know this sounds crazy, but leave it up to our great leaders to totally cripple an entire industry right in the middle of a recession. Not to mention the kids who will not benefit from the experience of riding dirt bikes or ATV's.
I urge you to contact your state representatives and let them know that this is not alright. You can go to the AMA web site www.ama-cycle.org and send a pre-written letter through them or you can type your own. There has been a petition started also through the AMA web site.
Personally, I have two kids who have been riding since they were 4 years old. They both benefited from the sport and so did most of their friends. How many people can say that their teenage sons and their friends spent almost every weekend with them, and liked it!! Come on this is just down right stupid.
